Snaskara Development Trust

Sanskara Development Trust (Sanskara) established in 2002 is a registered non-profit organsiation in India. Sanskara’s aim, based on the principles of values, beliefs and actions for nature is to protect India’s natural heritage by raising awareness at large and work amongst local communities in and around the periphery of existing and potentially viable Protected Areas.

With a vision to preserve our fast depleting wildlife, we assist in the process of strengthening and increasing the Protected Area Network. We do so by initiating and supporting conservation centered policy at grass root levels and collaborate with village councils, governments, NGO’s and individuals to realize nature conservation.

Focusing on collaborative management, we work on establishing conservation initiatives - protecting natural ecosystems, where a particular species or landscape, hitherto unprotected or marginally protected, needs protection or a corridor area maintained.
